Healing by Faith

Part VIII

7/20/2011 3:00 PM

There are nineteen specific healings in the Gospels that took place in Jesus's ministry. Of those nineteen healings, fifteen times it was initiated by the faith of the person that was healed - faith initiated healing. Their faith in the Gospel, the message they heard about Jesus, made them whole. If their faith would make them whole, then our faith should also make us whole. We have the same faith that they did. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. If we hear the truth and believe, all things are possible.

Jesus went about during His ministry preaching, teaching and healing. Healing was a major part of His ministry. Jesus said that if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. He is the sole expression, the perfect imprint of the Father. He perfectly pleased the Father. Jesus was willing to heal all that believed He could do it.

Healing is the will of God. It is God's will for everyone to be healed.

Part IV

7/16/2011 9:00 AM

Jesus said to his disciples in the 14th chapter of John, "he who has seen me has seen the Father." If we want to know the heart of God, we could know it by the heart of Jesus. If we want to know the will of the Father, look at Jesus. If we want to know God's heart for mankind, look at Jesus. If we see Him, we can see the Father.

In the beginning, the Word of God already was. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. God and His Word are one. His Word became flesh, took on humanity and lived among us. He and His son are one.

He has a heart for us, broken humanity. He loves us and cares for us. He showed us His compassion for our healing through His son.

The Faith of Abraham

Part XVII

12/1/2010 7:30 AM

This week we conclude our teaching on "The Faith of Abraham." The faith of Abraham was the faith of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Faith comes from God's Word. God's Word is the source of all faith. It's His faith.

Jesus tells us to have the faith of God. If we have the faith of God, then we can move mountains with our words, and we can change the impossible with our prayers.

If we can believe, then all things are possible. Nothing is impossible. Absolutely nothing.

The Faith of Abraham

Part X

11/24/2010 10:15 AM

God called Abram's father, Terah from Ur of the Chaldees to the land of Canaan, but they only came as far as Haran and dwelt there. After the death of Terah, God called Abram to leave Haran and to go to Canaan. Abram left as God instructed, except he took some of his family with him. The first promise God gave Abram was, "I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, and you will be a blessing."

The promise of Abram and Sarai's seed, or offspring, was the first promise from the mouth of God. Yet Abram was about 75 years old and Sarai was about 65 when they received the promise. She had been barren and was now past age, as was Abram. Yet the Word of God and the promise of God had been given.

In Genesis 15, when Abram asked God, "where is my promise seeing I go childless?" God responded for Abram to look at the stars. He told Abram to number the stars, if he was able, and to say, "So shall my seed be," numberless shall Abram's descendants be.

When Abram was about 99 years old, God spoke to him again and changed his name. No longer shall your name be Abram, meaning highly exalted father, but you shall be called Abraham, meaning father of many nations, "for the father of many nations have I made you."

God had made Abraham the father of many nations, long before Abraham saw it. When God gave him the promise, he bacame the father of manyh nations. When Abraham began to call himself what God had already made him, it was only a matter of months before Isaac was born.

Can you imagine what you would be if you called yourself what God has already called and made you. When God says it, it is so. When you mix your faith with God's promises, you will become what He has already made you. Selah!

The Faith of Abraham

Part IX

11/23/2010 6:45 PM

Jesus told the disciples (and us) to have the faith of God. The faith that God is offering us is His faith. We have been given the faith of God. This is no mamby-pamby faith! The Bible also refers to Abraham in Romans 4:16 as the father of us all, if we share the faith of Abraham. Abraham walked in this faith, the faith of God - which came from the Word (or mouth) of God. The Bible is God speaking to us.

God took Abraham out of his tent one night and told him to count the stars if he was able to do so. And then God said, so shall your seed be! Abraham could only see with the naked eye about 6500 stars, but there are over a billion stars in our Galaxy, the Milky Way. However, there are over a billion star clusters or galaxies. According to that rationale, Abraham's seed is well over a billion billions!

When Abraham believed God, God counted that to him for righteousness. But that wasn't written for his sake alone, righteousness is counted to us also who believe in God, who raised Jesus from the dead, who was put to death because of our sin and was raised again to solidify our justification, balancing our account and clearing us from all guilt before God. It is as if we had never sinned. When we believe God, He counts that to us as righteousness - the same righteousness Jesus has! Jesus became sin for us, who knew no sin, that we may be made the righteousness of God in Christ.

We have the righteousness of Jesus by faith. Meditate on that! It will change your self image as you see yourself as the righteousness of God, in Christ.

That is why we can come boldly to God's throne, seeking Him if faith knowing He will perform His Word in our life.

The Faith of Abraham

Part VIII

11/22/2010 9:15 AM

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God's Words are vehicles for faith. When we receive God's Word as truth, when we believe that the Word of God is truly His Word, then our hearts are receptive to His faith. If we question the Word of God, then our hearts are closed to His truths. We must first decide to believe God's Word and that it is inspired by Him. If we open our hearts to his truth, then the spirit and life that are in His Word takes root in our hearts. His Spirit living in our spirits. Faith comes by receiving into our spirit man the Word of God as truth. When we do this, things in our spirit man will change.

God has given us His faith. It's His faith and His faith works. If we use His faith like He does, we will get the same results. Jesus said so in Mark 11:22-26. Jesus said have the faith of God (and if He said to do so, we can). If we do, then we can say to the mountain (obstacle, problem, sickness, curse) be removed and cast into the sea. If we don't doubt in our hearts, but believe what we say will come to pass, we would have what we say. He said we can have what we say, if we say what we have in our hearts.

This is the same faith that Abraham developed. For 24 years Abram has a promise from God, but when Abraham began to call himself what God had called him everything changed. When Abraham said what God said, it was a matter of months before he inherited the promise of a child from God. When he got his mouth and his words right the promises came to pass.

The Faith of Abraham

Part VII

11/21/2010 12:30 PM

The Word of God is so good that it has given us an escape from any trouble that may ever come our way, as believers. We are believers and that means we believe the Word of God. For any situation we face in life, God has a promise for us for victory. If He has a way of escape for us in His Word, then it is a promise of God.

Inheriting the promise of God is the outcome of faith and depends entirely on faith in order that it (the promise) may be given as an act of grace (Amplified paraphrased). That means we must exercise faith in His Word. The good news (Gospel) is that as we go to God's Word with an open and receptive heart, faith comes. He has even given us His Faith. The Word of God is our hope (expectation). Faith is the substance (manifestation) of that hope and expectation. We should expect God's Word to come to pass. Faith is evidence of things we can not yet see. Faith believes as real fact that which has yet to be seen or perceived by our sense realm. Faith is believing and acting on the Word of God.

He has given us HIS faith, and His faith works.

Now work it!

The Faith of Abraham

Part V

11/19/2010 9:15 AM

This week on the broadcast we continue our study on "The Faith of Abraham" who is considered to be the father of us all, because we share the same faith (see Romans 4:17). The faith of Abraham came from God's Word, the Words God spoke to Abraham. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God - by receiving into your spirit man the Word of God, as truth. This means you make a decision to believe the Word of God as the source of truth, regardless of what your situation looks like. When Abraham believed God, God counted it him as righteousness. But that wasn't for Abraham's sake alone, it was written for us too. When we believe God, He counts our faith as righteousness. When we truly believe God, we have the same righteousness as Jesus. This is not by our works, but by our faith in what He has said and done.

Imagine that, when we believe God, he counts it to us as righteousness. Our slate is clean. We are free from sin. We can receive the fullness of God by faith. All the promises of God are the outcome of faith and depend entirely on faith (see Romans 4:16, Amplified).

The Faith of Abraham

Part IV

11/18/2010 11:30 AM

In Mark 11, Jesus and His disciples were on the road from Bethany to Jerusalem for the festival. The disciples heard Jesus curse a fig tree and Peter noticed the fig tree dying as they passed by on next day. Jesus' response was "Have the faith of God." Then He gave His best recorded teaching on faith in the Gospels.

According to Jesus, If we speak to a mountain (or any problem, fill in the blank) and tell it to be removed and cast into the sea, and if we don't doubt in our heart, but believe what we say would come to pass, what we say will come to pass. Furthermore, what things soever we desire when we pray, if we believe we receive them when we pray, we will have them. Again, according to Jesus' own words, the things we pray and the things we say will all come to pass if we believe it is done at the time we pray or say.

Jesus said that if we believe, all things are possible. But if we believe when we speak or pray, then the impossible things will come to pass in our lives. The impossible becomes not only possible, but guaranteed when we get our words involved in faith.

The Faith of Abraham

Part III

11/17/2010 12:00 AM

According to Jesus we have the ability to speak to mountains in faith and to pray in faith and then to expect for changes to take place. Miraculous changes. Jesus spoke to the fig tree, spoke to demons, spoke to the wind from a boat, spoke to sickness & disease and created change that was in line with God's Word. He did these things by speaking in faith and by praying in faith. Faith is believing and acting on the Word of God.

He told us that if we believed on Him, the works (miraculous signs & wonders) that He did, we would do, and even greater things than His would we do. If we believed. Believing God's Word is a choice we make. We have to decide above all that we are going to believe His Word and then act upon it. It is a choice we must make. Are you willing to make that choice? Are you willing God and His Word, and then just step out on it?

He is waiting on you and I to do just that.

The Faith of Abraham

Part II

11/16/2010 9:00 AM

If we are commanded to live by faith, then we can do it. God will not command us anything that we do not have the ability to do with His help. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. If our hearts are open and receptive to the Word of God, then we can receive the truth that Jesus said would make us free. But we have to decide to believe. We have to know in our hearts that the thread of truth, that runs through His Word, is true. If we settle that before we get into His Word, then the battle is over. We are then ready to receive the truth.

When we hear the Word, faith is available for us to receive, faith just comes. We don't have to worry whether or not it will work, it just does. God's Word guarantees that it will.

When Abraham heard God's Word, that was his "title deed" and his proof. Every time he looked up at the stars, Abraham was reminded of what God said, "so numberless shall your descendants be." When human reason for hope was gone, Abraham hoped in faith that he would become the father of many nations. He didn't consider the obvious circumstances, like the utter impotence of his body or the barrenness of Sarah's deadened womb, but he was fully satisfied that God was able and mighty to keep His Word and to do what He had promised. That is why his faith was credited to him for righteousness.

That is what we need to do. Trust the Word of God to be true, believe His Word to change our situation.

He will be pleased when we do!

The Faith of Abraham

Part I

11/15/2010 10:15 AM

The Bible commands us in four places to live by faith, "The just shall live by faith." We are the just, the righteous of God that the scripture is speaking of. Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us, that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him. Think about that! Righteousness has no varying degrees - either you are righteous or you are not. One slight error, one small sin can keep you from being clean and righteous. But Jesus became sin for us, even though He was completely righteous, unblemished and without fault.

Romans 4 tells us that Abraham believed God, and God counted that to him for righteousness. But that wasn't just written for his sake alone, it was written for our sakes too. Righteousness, or right standing with God has been granted to us too who believe in God, who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification, making our accounts balance and absolving us from all guilt before God (see Amplified Bible).

When we believe, God clears our slate! We are believers and believers believe. That is what we do. We are the just and we are commanded to live by faith, it's not an option, it's a commandment.

Faith is a decision. Faith begins where the will of God is known. When we believe, revelation comes. When we decide we are going to believe God, our hearts are open and our minds are receptive to the truth, then we can understand.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXXIV

11/7/2009 12:15 PM

We conclude our teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit on this week's broadcast as we talk about the gifts of the Spirit, namely tongues and interpretation of tongues. Paul thanked God that he spoke in tongues "more than you all" as he was addressing the church in Corinth. He also said that he would pray in the Spirit and he would pray in his understanding. This means that Paul prayed in the Spirit at will. Praying in the Spirit is speaking unto God, in mysteries. Praying in the Spirit has an important place in the body of Christ as does speaking in tongues in a church setting, but publicly it must be done decently and orderly. There must be an interpreter. An interpretation of tongues is a type of prophesy. When we pray in the Spirit or pray in tongues, it is the Holy Spirit praying through us in a way that we could not pray for ourselves. Praying in the Spirit is praying the perfect will of the Father.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXXIII

11/6/2009 8:45 AM

Jesus told his disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized will be saved, he that will not believe will be condemned. He said that these signs will follow believers: in His name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents (more on that later), if they drink any poison it will not hurt them, and believers will lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover. These are the signs to follow believers of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

This great commission is our calling today!

He also told his disciples in the first chapter of Acts to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father - the gift, baptism of the Holy Spirit. He told them to wait for this, not to do anything yet, but wait. They did and when the day of Pentecost had fully come they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them the utterance. Throughout the book of Acts, when believers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they began to speak in tongues and prophesy.

We continue our study this week on the broadcast of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit - particularly tongues and interpretation of tongues. Let the Holy Spirit open our hearts to the truth of our Father's promise.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXXI

10/16/2009 9:45 PM

Paul was teaching on the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12, and he said that these gifts had been given to every man for the profit of all. There are three gifts of understanding: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge and discerning of spirits. There are three gifts of power: working of miracles, gifts of healing and wonder working faith. There are also three vocal gifts: prophecy, tongues and interpretation of tongues. These three vocal gifts are the subject of this week's teaching on today's broadcast. Prophecy is the ability to interpret the divine will and purpose of God. We often think of prophesy as only the ability to "tell the future" or to foretell the things that shall come to pass, and this is in part what prophesy means; however, prophesy is more than just foretelling future events. When we give our testimony we are relating the divine will and purpose of God. When a minister or pastor preaches and teaches by unction of the Holy Spirit, that too is type of prophesy. When one prophesies by the gift of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in I Cor. 12, this is a greater manifestation of the Spirit of God and of prophesy, but this is as the Holy Spirit wills. Tongues and interpretations of tongues are too the ability to interpret the divine will and purpose of God. However, keep in mind, that interpretation of tongues and prophesy should comfort, exhort or edify the body of Christ, see I Cor. 14:3.

These subjects from the book of Acts are often avoided or overlooked, but the Holy Spirit felt moved to give them to us in the New Testament. More on tongues next week.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXX

10/10/2009 9:15 AM

The disciples were instructed by their teacher to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father, of which He said "you have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.... But you shall be receive power after the Holy Ghost shall come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me..." And they waited as He instructed. When the day of Pentecost had fully come the Holy Spirit fell on all of them, and the powerful church, the body of Christ was born and they walked in the power of the Holy Spirit doing the works that Jesus began to do and to teach.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12 that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit were given to each believer to profit for all. Think of that: for the profit of all. The nine gifts or powerful manifestations of the Holy Spirit have been given to each of us as the Spirit wills, but we must be baptized in the Holy Spirit. The gifts accompany the baptism as taught throughout the book of The Acts of the Apostles.

If this baptism was the promise of the Father, and if Jesus shed His blood that we may be filled with His Holy Spirit, do you not think that we should pursue this with all of our heart? Don't you feel that if Paul instructed us to covet these gifts (1 Cor. 12:31) we ought to give it our all?

Operating as ministers of the gospel of the Kingdom of God, we ought to use every available advantage the Father has given to us. Are you baptized in Holy Spirit? Are you walking in the power that God has laid up for you for His purposes, His plan and His strategy? He is ready when we are. Let's take our place in the army of the Living God - the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the lion from the tribe of Judah!

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXIX

10/3/2009 7:00 AM

We are encouraged by our Lord Jesus Christ to embrace and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to walk in the power of the Father. He said that the Father that dwells in Him was the source of the miraculous works that manifested in His ministry (see John 14:10). He then instructed the disciples, the body of believers to wait for the promise of the Father in Jerusalem and that they (we) would receive power after the Holy Spirit came upon them (see Acts 1:4-10). These were the instructions given to the church. Our commission is the same. This is our charge.

The nine gifts of the Spirit are the manifestations of the power of God in the lives of Spirit-filled believers. This week on the broadcast we are studying the gifts of healing, the working of miracles and the gift of faith. We are also looking at these gifts as they operated in the ministry of our Lord.

Smith Wigglesworth said, "The gift of divine healing is more than audacity, it is more than an unction. Those are two big things; however, the gift of healing is the solid fact of a divine nature within the person pressing forward the very nature and act of the Lord, as if He were there. We are in this place to glorify the Father, and the Father will be glorified in the Son since we are not afraid of taking action in this day."

Jesus said that if we believed on Him, the works that He did, we would do and even greater works would we do. Are you bold enough to believe Him? Are you willing to be totally submitted to Him? Would you believe God, our Father, to use you to heal the sick?

The answers are found in His Word. The lack of the knowledge of His Word is directly proportional to the lack of evidence of His power in our lives.

In Him,

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXVIII

9/27/2009 8:15 AM

Jesus said in Acts 1:8 to the body of believers, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me ..." The word "power" (dynamis in Greek, Strong's # 1411) refers to the miracle working power that was part of His ministry - miracles, healings, signs and wonders. Notice that He didn't say you shall receive tongues. We should receive power! We have put the emphasis of the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the wrong thing. Of course tongues is an outward sign, but Jesus said that we should receive dynamis - power. The Greek word dynamis is the root of the english word dynamite.

In his book Smith Wigglesworth on Spiritual Gifts, Wigglesworth stated , "There is a great weakness in the church of Christ because of an awful ignorance concerning the Spirit of God and the gifts He has come to bring." I believe this to be true. The early church walked in the power of God, just as Jesus said in John 14:12 - if we believed on Him, we would do the same and even greater works that He did. I believe there is a lack of teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The Father has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit, it was His promise. Jesus paid the price and became sin for us that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him. We could never receive the Holy Spirit without the righteousness of God. The manifestations or gifts of the Spirit are the result of this baptism. The gifts of the Spirit have been given to each one of us for the profit of all. We should see the power of God in the church - the body of Christ.

Let's continue in His Word and in our study of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Let's see what the Word of God has to say about the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit and how they should be part of our walk with Him.

Our prayers are with you and with the body of Christ, the victorious church of God.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXVII

9/19/2009 12:00 AM

Blessings,

Today we continue our teaching on the gifts of the Holy Spirit on "The Voice of Healing Faith" broadcast.

These gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifestations of the Spirit in the lives of believers doing the work of the Kingdom of God. These are the works that Jesus spoke of in John 14:12 when He said that if we believed on Him, the same works He did we would do. He was not talking only about our attitudes or heart, but more specifically about the power of God that was manifested in His life. That was the miracle working power of God that was evidenced throughout His ministry in healing, deliverance and miracles. He told His disciples that if they didn't believe HIm for His words, at least believe Him for the works and miracles that He did.

Jesus told His body of believers, His disciples, the body of Christ to wait for the promise of the Father in Jerusalem - baptism of the Holy Spirit. We are the body of Christ. We are His disciples. Jesus said that John had baptized with water, but we would be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire - the power of God. After the first infilling of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, the early church began doing the miracles that Jesus did. It was just as Jesus had proclaimed. They began to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons. Just as Jesus said in the Great Commission in Mark 16:15-18.

This is OUR charge as the body of Christ: to hear the truth, to be born again, to be filled with the Spirit and to do the works that Jesus did, the works of the Kingdom of God. These works are the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. This is our commission, this is our charge.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXV

9/4/2009 10:30 AM

Hello saints,

Jesus said in the 14th chapter of John that if we (the disciples of Christ) believed on Him, the works that He did, we would do and even greater works than these would we do. He said He would pray to the Father, and the Father would give us the Holy Spirit to abide with us forever. The Holy Spirit is the power of God abiding in the spirits of believers manifesting the miraculous works of the Father.

The world does not receive the Holy Spirit because it doesn't see Him nor know Him. But we (the disciples) know Him, and we can be filled to overflowing with Him. That promise was prophesied in the 14th Chapter of John, and was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost after the passion of Jesus in the second chapter of Acts. It is still fulfilled and the promise still applies to us today.

What have you heard about the baptism of the Holy Spirit? What have you heard about the purpose of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ today? Have you been baptized with the Holy Spirit as taught in the book of Acts? Can our understanding be based upon traditions of men and not the Word of God?

I urge you to do a personal study of the Holy Spirit. Study the promise of the Father. Use the teaching scriptures we have posted on the website. Ask the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Luke 11:13 that He will give it to you.

We continue this week on the broadcast our teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and more specifically the gifts or manifestation of the Holy Spirit. This week we are teaching on the "word of wisdom" and the "word of knowledge."

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXIV

8/28/2009 10:15 AM

Blessings,

Jesus referred to the baptism of the Holy Spirit as the promise of the Father in Acts 1:

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which" He said "you have heard from Me;
5 "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." NKJ

The word "power" in verse 8 is the greek word "dynamis" which means power, ability, miracle, an extended meaning of a person or supernatural being who has administrative power: -power, mighty works, miracle, strength, powers, might. (Strong's Concordance)

Jesus wasn't talking about authority, He was referring to miracle working power. The same word in the Greek was used in Mark 5:30 when the woman with the issue of blood came in the press and touched His garment, for she said "If I may but touch His clothes, I shall be whole." Jesus then knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him (the King James version uses the word virtue). This is miracle working power.

As we look at 1 Corinthians 12 and study the gifts, or manifestations of the Holy Spirit we see the power that Jesus was talking about. There are nine gifts of the spirit. Of the nine, three of them are power gifts: wonder-working faith, powers of healing and working of miracles.

1 Corinthians 12:7 says that the "manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all." That includes you and me.

On the broadcast today, open your heart and let the Word of God speak to you about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. They have been given to you.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXII

Blessings to you,

The baptism of the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ, is it for today and is it relevant to our walk with God? Is this the promise of the Father that Jesus spoke about? Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit a separate step we take after our confession of faith in God through Jesus the Messiah (the Christ)? Do I have to speak in tongues? Are the gifts (manifestations) of the Holy Spirit given to every believer to profit withal? Are these questions you have asked yourself? Where are you looking for your answers? If you could find the answers to these and other questions in the Word of God, would you look? And then believe?

I believe than more than any other thing, God wants us to believe Him. I believe the answers to these and other questions we have will all be found in the Word of God.

On this week's broadcast, we are continuing our study on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Listen to or podcast today's broadcast, download the teaching notes from the website if you like and dig into the Word of God. Let the Word of God be your teacher, your guide and your hope. The Holy Spirit will be with you as you do and will guide you into all truth. His word is truth.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XXI

8/7/2009 11:00 AM

Blessings to you,

We continue our study this week on the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is the promise of our Father. Jesus told us that God would give the Holy Spirit to whomever asks. But remember that the promises of God are the outcome of faith and the promises depend entirely on faith.

In I Cor. 12, we are told that there are nine gifts or manifestations of the Holy Spirit that have been given to every man to profit withal. That tells us that God has given the gifts of the Spirit o each of us that have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus' ministry began after He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, after the water baptism that John preached. No healings, miracles or manifestations of God took place nor did His earthly ministry begin before He was filled with the Holy Spirit.

He then told us that if we believed His teaching and His word, we would do the same works that He did - and even greater works. But He told His disciples to wait for the promise of the Father - the baptism of fire.

It is a second step in our walk with God.

Feel free to download the teaching notes from the website and study the Word of God for yourself about this wonderful promise.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XX

8/7/2009 10:30 AM

Greetings saints of God,

We continue our study this week on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a fulfilled promise from our Father. Let's look at the promise from Galatians 3:13-14:

13 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); 14 To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might com upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. (Amplified)

Jesus, the Messiah, purchased our freedom from the bondage of sin and death where we were held sway. He became the penalty, the scapegoat and the substitute for us. He took all of the curse (which includes sickness and disease) for us and put us in right relationship with the Father. His shed blood guaranteed the rebirth of our spirits! Then He guaranteed the promise of the Father whereby He could pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.

He has been poured out and He is available for you and I to receive, by faith.

Therefore, inheriting the promise of God is the outcome of faith and depends entirely on faith. We have been given the faith of God. There is nothing left to do but receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Listen to the broadcast today and build up your faith for the baptism of God's Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XIX

7/25/2009 10:00 AM

Greetings Saints of the Most High God,

We are still studying the baptism of the Holy Spirit on this week's broadcast as we begin to look at the gifts of the Holy Spirit found in
1 Corinthians 12. We are told by Paul, as given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that these gifts are given the body of Christ, to all in the body of Christ as the Spirit wills. He has given these gifts to us - "to every man to profit withal" (I Cor. 12:7). This is to every man that is a believer, a member of the Body of Christ.

These nine gifts are: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, wonder working faith, extraordinary powers of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, tongues and interpretation of tongues. "But covet earnestly the best gifts" is the instruction given to us in 1 Cor. 12:31. We are commanded not to covet anything but the gifts of the Spirit! Imagine that. God wants us to earnestly desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Let get about our Father's business.

In Him,

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XVII

7/12/2009 8:30 AM

Greetings Saints of God,

Our broadcast today continues our study of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We conclude our look at the early church, the beginning of the body of Christ in the Book of Acts of the Apostles. This book could have been more accurately entitled the Book of Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles. This is the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through the early church to continue the works Jesus began to do and teach.

Again, in review, Jesus tells us through His Word and his disciples in John 14:12, that if we believe on Him, that we would do the works that He did - the miraculous works of healings, signs and wonders. Think about that. If we truly believe His Word, His teachings and His instructions, and followed them we would do the works that He did. He told His disciples to wait for the promise of the Father in Jerusalem before they began ministry. He said that there in Jerusalem they would be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

The Father said He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, all humanity. It has been done and is still available to you and I today. If it is a promise of the Father, doesn't it make sense for us to receive it by faith.

Let's continue our study on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and let the Word of God teach us all truth. His Word is truth.

Next week we will begin our study on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XVI

6/27/2009 9:30 AM

Greetings Saints of the Most High God,

Today on the broadcast we continue to study the Word of God about the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist said that he was baptizing with water, but that there was one coming that would baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire. (The Holy Ghost was a term used by the King James version for the Holy Spirit.) Jesus echoed John's prophecy in Acts 1:5 where He said John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days from now, speaking to His disciples. He continued saying that they would receive power after the Holy Ghost had come upon them.

When the day of Pentecost was fully come, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit game them utterance. They also received power and began to do great exploits for the Kingdom of God. The book of Acts is an historical record of the power of the Holy Spirit working through the body of believers in signs and wonders.

As we go through the book of Acts, notice that this power was given to all of the body of Christ in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

If you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, let the Word of God direct you in all truth.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part XI

5/31/2009 9:00 AM

Greetings Saints of God,

We are continuing our study this week of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Paul, in Galatians 3:14, says this is the promise of the Father.

"To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come on the gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit." Gal. 3:14 (Amplified)

To the end, or, in order that through making Jesus Christ our Lord - we receive Him as the promised Messiah, as the Anointed One, the Christ, the blessing that God promised Abraham could be made available to non-Jews. The promise that God made was to the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the hebrew children, the children of Israel. However, through the Messiah, this promise was made available to the gentiles, the "Goyim," the rest of the world by faith. All the promises of God are the outcome of faith and depend entirely on faith (see Romans 4:16, Amplified).

Notice the promise of the Father was the Holy Spirit - the promise of the Spirit by faith. Abraham is the father of faith. We by faith can receive the promise of the Holy Spirit.

Faith is believing and acting on the Word of God.

Believe that God has given to the body of Christ the Holy Spirit - the same Spirit that Jesus told his disciples to wait for in Jerusalem after appearing to them after His resurrection.

God has given to us the Holy Spirit. He has declared us as the temples of the Holy Spirit.

"Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a gift] from God? You are not your own," I Cor. 6:19 (Amplified)

Selah (think about that)

Yours in Christ - the anointed one, the anointing of the Holy Spirit

Blessings Saints of God,

As we continue our study this week on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I want you to dive into the Word of God for yourself. If you desire to know more, carefully study the book of The Acts of the Apostles - really the acts of the Holy Spirit through the apostles. Start your study with John 14:12 and then read through the Acts.

Jesus said that if we believed on Him, we would do the works that He did. That really means to believe all His Words, to do as He did in obedience to the Father and to be a willing vessel for the Holy Spirit. This is the first step.

He did not begin His ministry until He was indued with power from on high, after being baptized in the river Jordan. He told His disciples to be filled with the Spirit. If we are His disciples too, then we should be filled with His Spirit.

He told His disciples that they should wait in Jerusalem (Acts 1) for the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. He told them not to begin their ministry until they received the promise of the Spirit from the Father - the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As they believed Him and acted on His Words, this was fulfilled in Acts 2.

They then begin to do the works of the ministry, just like He did - preaching, teaching and healing.

His Words are for us today. We should be doing the works, just like He did, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Believe on His Words, be filled with the Holy Spirit and with Fire. Be a blessing to a lost and dying world.

Blessings to you, saints of God,

Have you ever considered the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Have you thought about looking at it from a Biblical perspective? Do you think that if it was true it would make a difference in your walk with God, our Father?

I would suggest that you not take my word for it, but go to the Word of God to see if it is what God had planned for you. Continue our in depth study of the Book of Acts.

Jesus said we would receive power after the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) had come upon you. He told his disciples, and consequently us as members of the body of Christ, that we would be endued with power from on high. He also told them not to begin the work of the ministry until they had received the Holy Spirit anointing. He told them to wait for the promise of the Spirit.

That day was fulfilled and it is still available for you today. It is the power of the army of the Lord.

Why go to battle without the weapons of our warfare.

Our Father had you in mind before He created the Earth and the Universe as we know it today. In the beginning the Word of God already was. He sees the end from the beginning. His plan for you is there for you to unfold by faith and He desires for you to have faith in His power.

We love you Saints of God!

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part VIII

5/21/2009 8:45 AM

Greetings saints of the Most High God,

We continue our study on the baptism of the Holy Spirit with today's broadcast. Jesus told his disciples to go into Jerusalem and wait until they received power from on high. They were to receive the Holy Ghost not many days in the future. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, as He had said, they were baptised with the Holy Ghost and fire.

Does it seem like the fire is gone from the church? Now I am not talking only about fervor, but I am referring to the fire of the Holy Ghost, which Jesus ministered under, which the disciples and the early church operated under. Like when Philip (the deacon, not the apostle) went down to Samaria to preach Christ and people started getting healed,

"and great crowds of people with one accord listened to and heeded what was said by Philip, as they heard him and watched the miracles and wonders which he kept performing [from time to time]. For foul spirits came out of many who were possessed by them, screaming and shouting with a loud voice, and many who were suffering from palsy or were crippled were restored to health."
- Amplified

What a blessing and what power from on High! This was for the church, the body of Christ. Not only the early church. We should operate this way today.

We should receive what the Father has promised.

Blessings to you, saints of God,

We continue our study on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit this week.

When Peter told Jesus and the disciples that He was the Christ, Jesus told Peter that flesh and blood had not revealed that to him, but it was revealed by the Father which is in heaven. Jesus continued, thou art Peter and upon this rock (the revelation that Jesus was the Christ - the anointed one) I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven.

He later told Peter and all the disciples to wait for the promise of the Father. He said in Luke 24:29, I will send the promise of my Father upon you: but remain in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.

Again told in Acts 1:5, Jesus said John with baptized with water; but you will be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. And in verse 8 He said that you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

This is the promise of the Father, given to us by the Son.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced often by speaking in tongues, has been given to the church.

We are the church. YOU are the church. Receive the Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part VI

4/26/2009 9:15 AM

Blessings to you, saints of the Most High God,

One of the most controversial subjects in the Body of Christ today is the baptism in the Holy Spirit that poses questions. Is it a separate step from the baptism of John - the water baptism after receiving Jesus Christ as Lord? Does it always manifest in speaking in tongues? Is this for real? Is this for me?

If Jesus thought it was important and essential to our ministry of reconciliation and being a witness to Him then we ought to hear and meditate His words:

"You shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you."

This is not merely authority, but miracle working power. This is the same power Jesus operated under, the power of the Holy Ghost. He also operated in the authority of the Holy Ghost and the Kingdom of Heaven.

He has called us to do the same. He said that if we believed on Him, the works that He did, we would do also.

Let's look at the Word of God to find His heart about these questions.

Greetings believers in Christ,

Jesus said in John 14:12 that if we would believe on Him, the works that He did, we would do also, and even greater works would we do.

Have you ever wondered how we would do that? By what authority and by what power? By the authority of the Word of God, "that the blessing of Abraham might come on the entiles through Jesus Christ. That we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." By the power of the Holy Ghost!

These are the words Paul spoke, by unction of the Holy Spirit to the church in Galatia. It was written to the church, the body of Christ. We are the body of Christ. We are the church. If you are Christ's, than you are Abraham's seed and an heir according to that promise.

Jesus said you would receive power (greek - dunamis, which is miraculous working power) after the Holy Ghost had come on us.

Jesus returned from the wilderness, on the birth of His ministry, in the power of the Spirit.

He has called you to walk in the same power, the same anointing.

As He said in John 20:22, "receive the Holy Ghost."

Blessed Resurrection Day!

This is the broadcast that was aired on Resurrection Sunday, the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) from the dead. Our faith in Him and God's plan for mankind is based on the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and He is alive today!

Jesus said in the Gospel of John, "Because I live, you shall live also."

And He has sent the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, to live on the inside of each of us. Jesus said we would receive power after the Holy Spirit had come upon us and that we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, would do the works He did - and even greater works than these would we do. He was speaking of the miraculous works of power he manifested in His earthly ministry. He intended for us to do the same.

That is great news, that is the Gospel. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Read Mark 16:15-18, the commission of the body of believers.

We are believers. Believe and receive His Holy Spirit and be His witnesses!

Blessings to you all, Saints of the Most High God,

Jesus came to baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire. He said that if we would believe on Him, the works (the miraculous deeds) that He did, we would do. The power that was in Him, the Holy Spirit, has been given to us - to do His works, His plans and for His purpose. Believing is the catalyst. Faith is the substance of things hoped for - His hopes as well as our hopes. Faith is the evidence of things we cannot see. Faith is believing what we cannot see. Faith is believing and acting on the Word of God.

Jesus said we would receive power after the Holy Ghost had come upon us - miracle working power, mountain moving power, healing power and raising the dead power. Jesus told his disciples to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and to cast out devils. Matthew 10:1 said Jesus gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

He has called you as well. He has (past tense) poured out His spirit upon all flesh. That includes you and I.

What a great day to be in the Kingdom of God.

Today is the day we celebrate His triumphant ride into Jerusalem, as Hosanna, Emmanuel - God with us. He is with us today!

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part II

3/29/2009 8:45 AM

Greetings to you, saints of God, our Father,

We continue our study this week of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told the believers in Acts 1:4-5, not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father (this was His plan) which they had heard from him. John baptized with water, but you would be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days from now, He explained. He also told them in verse 8 that they would receive power when the Holy Ghost came upon them. Notice that His emphasis is on power, not tongues as today is often taught.

Most of the focus on the Spirit baptism today however, is on the gifts of tongues and praying in Holy Spirit. Paul told his brethren that he thanked God that he prayed in the Spirit more than you all, but kept it in perspective. Now, praying in the Spirit, in tongues is very important; however, Jesus' emphasis is on the power or the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Praying in tongues is one part of the gifts. Praying in the Spirit allows the Holy Spirit to pray through us for things we don't know how to pray for ourselves. We need this more than ever today.
But we also need to listen to the Words of Jesus that we would be baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire (power)!

As we study the book of Acts, praying in tongues was an outward sign most often evidenced as a result of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but the early church began to walk in the power of God. Jesus said if we would believe on Him, the works that He did, we would also do.

Let the Word of God guide us today on the broadcast and may you be filled to the full with His Spirit and His power.

We love you and are praying for you!

The Voice of Healing Faith

Baptism of the Holy Spirit Part I

3/28/2009 2:00 PM

This week we begin a new teaching on a controversial subject, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We are going to the Word of God to find out what He says about this marvelous gift to the body of believers. God said that He was going to pour out His Spirit on the whole earth. Receiving all of the promises of God is the outcome of faith and depends entirely on faith. Faith is believing and acting on the Word of God. Faith is deciding to believe what God has said in His Word, regardless of how the situation may appear.

John the baptist came proclaiming that the Kingdom of God is at hand. John baptized with water but he said that there was one coming after him that would baptize us in the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Jesus said we would be baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire, and that we would receive power after the Holy Ghost had come upon us.
